Together we are making a difference in the future of our community. Volunteers are the heartbeat of Teach My People. Without them, we would not be able to provide the quality after-school and summer programs that we do. The need for volunteers, especially academically-focused ones, has never been greater.
Our volunteer opportunities include:
One-on-one academic tutors (usually grades 1-5 focusing on math and reading)
Classroom assistants (helping with homework in the classroom)
Office assistants (answering phones and opening the main door)
Recreation Assistants (organizing games during recess times)
Reading Enrichment Volunteers (working with students who excel in reading)
Math Enrichment Volunteers (working with students who excel in math)
Friday Club Sponsors - these are seasonal volunteers who share a particular skill or interest. i.e. cooking, music, or photography.
Other Special Events - over the course of the year, we utilize volunteers for holiday events and other seasonal gatherings.

Please note that, after completing the online registration process (including a background check), new volunteers must complete an onsite training session before volunteering can begin.
