    Qualifications:
    ● Minimum of a Associate’s Degree (preferably in Education or a related field) or currently
    enrolled in college pursuing a degree

    Overview of Instructor Responsibilities:
    ● Provide homework assistance and individual academic enrichment
    ● Participate in planning and monitoring recreational activities
    ● Lead Bible study activities
    ● Maintain copies of student report cards/test scores
    ● Schedule visits with school teachers of students
    ● Maintain student files/records/documentation
    ● Comply with TMP confidentiality policy
    ● Monitor student behavior and take disciplinary measures as outlined in policy manual
    ● Identify student needs and communicate those to teachers, staff, and volunteers as appropriate
    ● Monitor all interactions between volunteers and students in accordance with safety guidelines
    ● Assist with clerical work and maintain sign-in/sign-out sheets for students
    ● Assist in set up and keeping site clean

  • Position Description

    ● Good physical health; adequate endurance to maintain and exceed student pace when transitioning to/from and within basic TMP activities to lift 15lbs

  • Position: Controller

    Reports to: Executive Director

    Status: Full Time

    Job Summary: Teach My People is seeking an experienced accountant to serve as Controller (or Accounting Manager?) to oversee the financial operations of the local non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an associate’s degree in Accounting, a bachelor’s degree is preferred, and will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts. CPA certification is a plus.

     Essential Functions:

    ■     Review Current systems, Finance, and Accounting policies and procedures.  Provide guidance and input.

    ■     Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, income and expenses, payroll, cash management, and transactions reported by class for multiple locations, grants, etc

    ■     Prepares Month-End Reporting to include Cash & Investments Report, Financial position and Statement of Activity Comparison, Budget vs Actual Variance Explanations, Statement of Cash Flows.

    ■     Manages and provides reports on open receivables (grants and pledges)

    ■     Reports on annual budget and grant budgeting.

    ■     Review Month-End Reports with Executive Director and Treasurer to prepare for Board Meetings,

    ■     Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate funds for daily operations.

    ■     Partners with the Grants manager to ensure expenses are allocated and reimbursed.

    ■     Prepare and process payroll using ADP bi-weekly. Record Payroll Tax in QuickBooks per Pay Periods

    ■     Book fund transfers

    ■     Manage Campus’ Petty Cash

    ■     Send Donor Contribution Statements and Other donation correspondence

    ■     Provide a 60 Day Outstanding Check Report to the Executive Director

    ■     Other Reports as requested by the Executive Director and Treasurer

    ■     Review the Reconciliation Report and make corrections as needed

    ■     Review the Statement of Activity vs Budget with the Executive Director

    ■     Supports external tax accountants for yearly tax prep and audits (Form 990, state filings, etc)

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Bachelor’s degree Preferred

    2+ years of related experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll.

    Strong Accounting Background with GAAP knowledge required.

    Proficiency in QuickBooks –QuickBooks Online preferred

    Exceptional Skills in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite

    Familiarity and understanding of non-profit organization operations and grants preferred

    Must pass a pre-employment background check and sign the TMP Statement of Faith.
