125 students are enrolled from 1st grade through 12th grade in the TMP afterschool program.We provide each student homework help, academic enrichments and individualized tutoring.
3.7 GPA average for TMP’s junior and senior class. We provide academic help, SAT and ACT prep, college tours and support with college applications to our high school students.
11 TMP alumni are in college, 1 TMP alumni are in the military, 5 TMP alumni have graduated college and 1 has graduted with her Master's Degree. Every student that graduates from Teach My People is offered a $1,500 work-study scholarship (renewable for four years) from the generosity of the Falk-Griffin Foundation, towards a college of their choice.
76% of TMP students maintained their academics during the summer program(most students can lose 30% of academic knowledge during the summer months). In our summer program, we provide each student with two hours of math, reading and science each day in order for students to remain academically competitive when they reenter school in the fall. 2019 scores will be released mid-fall 2019
131 TMP students are provided with dinner (Monday through Friday) in our afterschool program.
100 TMP students are provided breakfast and lunch (Monday through Thursday) in our summer program.
30 Minutes of Healthy Play / Recreation Time provided to each student in our afterschool program. Our students have access to onsite basketball courts, gaga ball pit and playground to enjoy and encourage healthy play.
85 TMP students are provided 30-minute swim lessons and afternoon free swim (Monday through Thursday) during our summer program. Being surrounded by the ocean and rivers, learning to swim is not only a fun skill to learn but is vital for our student’s safety.
125 TMP students are provided with a complete, mental health program. With the help of our on-site, licensed professional counselor each student has access to individualized mental health care.
