HOMEWORK TIME!
... Splitting into classrooms by grade, we all settle down for homework time.
Throughout the entire building, this time is dedicated to study time! Staff and
volunteers work daily to help students complete school assignments.
SNACK TIME!
...Right off the bus, all students (grades 1-5) gather for a break from the busy day;
a quick treat, and daily announcements is how we get our program started.
PLAY TIME!
...We have to be sure to make time for fun! So the ones with the least amount of
homework (1st and 2nd graders) get to go outside first for some energy release!
The rest follow with 15-30 minutes of playtime per grade level per day.
DINNER TIME!
... With 50 students, we've learned to eat in shifts. Starting at 4:00, we rotate
groups for dinner until 5:30.
ENRICHMENT!
...Using games and activities from our Great Source curriculum, teachers plan
Reading and Math activities throughout the week to reinforce what students are
learning at school.

NEED TO READ!
... Each day we make sure to set aside some time for independent reading.
Books are labeled and shelved by level according to the Accelerated Reader
Program used at the elementary and middle schools. Students are also allowed to
check out books so they may take tests and earn points at school. Their
successes are celebrated at school as well as Teach My People!
