Teach My People Youth Cup Golf Tournament - June 23rd, 2010
We are pleased to announce that our 14th annual Youth Cup Golf Tournament is close to selling out! However, we are still looking for teams and sponsors. Money raised in this year’s tournament will go towards our after school and 8 week summer programs. Click here to learn more about our summer program and why it’s so essential for our kids.
We have really raised the bar for this year’s tournament:
Teach My People is excited to announce that George Rogers, former University of South Carolina Heisman Trophy Winner and NFL running back, will be playing in the tournament this year to help benefit our 2010 summer program.
Dustin Johnson, a local PGA professional favorite, is also providing personally autographed prizes to help raise funds for Teach My People. Dustin is a PGA Tour Professional that is currently ranked 9th on the FedExCup standings. Dustin attended college at Coastal Carolina University and turned pro in 2007.
An awards dinner courtesy of Outback Steakhouse will follow the tournament. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams in four separate categories: Low gross all, low net men, low net women, and low net mixed teams.
Separate prizes will be awarded for men and women in the “Long Drive” and “Closest to the Pin” contests.
We are also holding a silent auction this year, with items including:
A luxurious 3-night stay for four people in a 2-bedroom 2-bath condo at Litchfield By The Sea. This package includes 12 rounds of golf (green fee and cart) and a $125 Gift Certificate for an evening meal at Webster’s Restaurant located at the resort. The package will be available from Sept. 1, 2010 – Feb. 28, 2011.
Spouses and guests are welcome to attend the awards dinner for an additional $10 entrance fee.

Ace: You will be listed as an Ace Sponsor of the Tournament, and you will be given 4 “player entries” in the Tournament……a $500 value. You will be given 4 free rounds of golf for 4 players (16 total rounds of golf that can be played at various Myrtle Beach National courses this summer*)…$800 value.
Ace Sponsorship = $1,000
Albatross: You will be listed as an Albatross Sponsor of the tournament and you will receive 2 free rounds of golf for 4 players (8 total rounds of golf that can be played at various Myrtle Beach National courses this summer*)…$400 value.
Albatross Sponsorship = $500
Eagle: You will be listed as an Eagle Sponsor at the Tournament and you will receive 1 free round of golf for 4 players (4 total rounds of golf that can be played at various Myrtle Beach National courses this summer*)…$200 value.
Eagle Sponsorship = $250
Birdie: You will be listed as a Birdie Sponsor at the Tournament.
Birdie Sponsorship = $100
We also need prizes for our long drive and closest to the pin contests and for our winning teams along with sleeves of golf balls, tees or other items to fill our player “goodie bags.” If you are unable to give a monetary donation please consider merchandise or gift certificates to help us meet this need.
