A Dollar Makes a Difference Campaign is a simple way for local church members to get involved in helping us reach our goal of having an eight-week summer program. On May 20, 2012 we are asking our local churches to invite their members to give $1.00 each to Teach My People. Would you please consider being a part of this campaign? Teach My People’s eight-week summer program will cost $54,000.00. That equates to $720.00 per child for the entire summer. We anticipate our Teach My People Golf Tournament, on June 2nd, to raise $27,000.00 and are asking our community and churches for their generosity for the additional revenue.
TMP's Summer Program - Teach My People offers a six-week traditional summer program and a two-week swim camp. Both of these programs provide our students with the assistance they need to maintain and strengthen their academics while engaging in various summer enrichments. Our students attend our program Monday through Friday, during June and July, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We provide all 75 students with breakfast and lunch.
During the summer we are rewarded with the opportunity to deeply invest in our students spiritually. This year’s Bible theme is “Threads”. We are going back to the basics with our students to see how the simple, fundamental truths of the Bible are “weaved” throughout scripture. Our students will discover these truths every morning through large group time and individual quiet times.
