Matching gifts from employers

If you are employed by or retired from certain larger companies you may be able to double the impact of your gift through corporate matching gifts. Your employer may match all or a portion of your donation, or possibly for each hour that you volunteer at Teach My People they may donate a certain dollar amount for your time.

As a new benefit to our donors, Teach My People may now accept gifts of investments and securities. A gift of appreciated stock or mutual fund shares often provides multiple benefits:

  • Teach My People receives a charitable deduction for the fair market value of the securities at the time of the contribution
  • You, the donor is not taxed on the capital gain that would result if you sold the property
  • You become a part of this incredible ministry that is equipping at-risk children  with the tools and skills they need to overcome academic, economic, and social challenges based on Christian principles and values
